Clara and Robert Schumann were not just life partners. They were each other's inspiration, support and first listeners. Their music tells the story of a relationship that still fascinates today with its intensity.
Robert's first Liederkreis, which was created as a wedding gift for Clara Schumann, but also Clara's Songs from Jucunda, which she composed during Robert's worsening manic depression, will be performed at the Lieder Society concert dedicated to this extraordinary artistic and life partnership.
We invite you to an evening dedicated to Clara and Robert Schumann, whose double anniversary we are commemorating this year.
