About event
Come and draw on ceramics!
During the daily opening of the group exhibition Love, there will be a wonderful drawing on ceramic tiles with the one and only Ivana Šáteková.
When?
Saturday, 22 November 2025, from 13:00 to 15:00
Where?
Right at Dome Vanek, Hlavná 25, Bratislava
The workshop is intended for children (from 10 years old) and adults, for everyone who likes to draw, doodle, fill diaries, sketchbooks or diaries with small drawings.
This time we will draw on ceramic tiles from Imrich Vanek's archive stock. You can draw and write on the white tiles, which form the format frame of an A3 sheet... we will then cover them with a transparent glaze and fire them before Christmas.
Capacity is limited to 10 participants, so do not hesitate to register in advance at our e-mail: [email protected].
The participation fee is more than symbolic: €7
We will use the collected money for refreshments during the workshop for you and the firing of ceramic paintings, which will reach you before Christmas.
Ivana Šáteková (1984) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, where in 2006-2012 she studied at the Department of Painting and Other Media under the guidance of prof. Daniel Fischer. On the art scene, she is known for creating across various techniques, which she adopts according to current topics and needs. A distinctive element of her work is drawing - playful, sometimes uncompromising and even chilling - which she uses as a tool for critical reflection on society. With it, he can draw attention to its peculiarities and paradoxes, for example, to the generation of thirty-somethings living with their parents and struggling with their own independence.
In addition to intimate "notebook" drawings, he also works on large-format projects, especially as part of the Dzive group. Her work is characterized by a long-term interest in the phenomena of "Slovak nature" and a committed civic attitude. In 2013, she became a finalist for the Essl Art Award and in 2014 she won the Tatra Banka Foundation Award.
Ivana paints, draws, embroiders, designs, and in recent months has also been activating the cultural community through the platform Umenie nebude ticho!
The Love exhibition is organized by Banská St anica Contemporary.
The project was supported from public funds by the Art Support Fund.
