Lena Gallovič is a photographer and visual artist. She completed her master's degree at the Studio of Contemporary Painting at the Faculty of Arts in Košice. Since then, she has lived in different places and created both for world fashion magazines and for various exhibition spaces. Permeability between reality, dream and inner experience is a long-term motif of her free artistic work, which is also present in the exhibition In Natural Habitat: Mirroring of Dreams in Medium Gallery. In two of her rooms, she connects separate photographic images with an environment created specifically for the given place, in which changeability, mirroring and merging become a natural part of the experience. Environment grows out of the same principles as Gallovič's photography. Organic materials that the author finds in nature after they have already ended their natural existence (dry plants, flowers, animal remains, found wood) and which are transferred to the gallery as part of the exhibition, are a continuation of her pictorial world in space. It thus allows the audience to step out of the overall visual experience into an absorbing micro-universe of images, symbols and associations, in the reflection of which anyone who surrenders fully to them can get lost and found.

Lena Gallovič is a photographer and visual artist. She graduated from the Studio of Contemporary Picture at the Faculty of Arts in Košice. Since then, she has lived in various places and created work for both international fashion magazines and various exhibition spaces. A long-standing theme in her independent artistic practice is the permeability between reality, dreams, and inner experience, which is also evident in the exhibition In Natural Habitat: Mirroring of Dreams at the Medium Gallery. In two rooms of the gallery, she interweaves individual photographic images with an environment created specifically for that location, where transience, reflection, and blending become a natural part of the experience. The environment is rooted in the same principles as Gallovič's photography. The organic materials that the artist finds in nature after they have completed their natural life cycle (dried plants, flowers, animal remains, pieces of wood she has found) — and which are brought into the gallery as part of the exhibition — serve as an extension of her visual world within the space. She thus enables the audience to step out of a two-dimensional visual experience into an immersive micro-universe of images, symbols, and associations, in whose reflection anyone who fully surrenders to them can both lose themselves and find themselves.
