We cordially invite you to present the results of the international residential stay of Indonesian-Nisem artist Lennart Creutzburg. On Thursday, July 24 at 18:00, you will have the opportunity to look into the residential studio, meet the artist and get a closer insight into his monthly examination and creative process.
Creutzburg (born 1994, Netherlands) was born in Breda, currently lives and works in Eindhoven. In its intermediate practice, it examines how identity is formed by cultural condition, intergenerational trauma and memory. Creutzburg approaches the body as a time capsule and biological machine and examines how experienced experiences across generations are stored in tissues, muscles and DNA. In their sculptural installations, the body, movement and technology are connected to hybrid forms and spaces where identity can be rewritten and transformation is possible. In the reflection of this year's theme of Pragovka Gallery, Resources, Creutzburg, it emphasizes the role of internal resources, especially in the context of inherited traumas and other embodied forces, and emphasizes the importance of looking inside and in the past for healing and internal transformation of the present and future.
