This Baby New Year's Concert is inspired by the one traditionally given in Vienna every year since 1939, in a Lamoureux version.
Let's dive into the musical excitement with this program where the grace of classical ballet mixes with the frenetic rhythm of military marches and meets the liveliness of French dances and Viennese waltzes. A great opportunity to discover the captivating world of Johann Strauss II, the king of the Austrian waltz.
From the Bauern Polka, a great success in Russia, to the famous waltz The Beautiful Blue Danube, often offered as an apotheosis during the Viennese New Year's concert, each note transports us into a symphony of lightness and grace. A vibrant celebration to start the year in style!

In the family of winds, and more precisely free-reed woodwinds, I ask… the accordion! With piano keys or buttons,
always equipped with a bellows and keyboards, its invention was late but constituted a feat for the whole of Europe at the beginning of the 19th century. An emblematic instrument of popular music, equally at ease with its natural virtuosity in all styles of music - from baroque to tango, including musette, it will be combined here with the strings to delight our baby music lovers.
