Let's canoe in Křivoklátsko!

Weather forecast promises proper summer weather for the weekend so let's cool down on the Berounka river.

The plan is to canoe some 12km/8 miles from the small town of Zbečno in the protected landscape area **Křivoklátsko**.

The route is suitable for beginners.

*You can join even if you haven’t canoed before as long as you can swim. You should also be somewhat physically coordinated and have patience to learn a new motor skill!*

I’m **not** a certified instructor however, I have taught countless people the basics of canoeing.

LOGISTICS
We will meet on Saturday 20th of June at **8:30** in front of the main ticket office at the Prague Main Railway Station.

We’ll be aiming to be back in Prague by **19:00**. However, we will be as fast as the slowest members of our group and an unexpected delay is possible. This is a **full-day event.**

WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU
• Shoes to wear in water (sandals, or you can buy special shoes for walking in water)
• Wear clothes which dry fast (NOT jeans)
• Sunscreen
• Towel and maybe some spare clothes (in case your canoe capsizes)
• Swimwear
• Bottle of water and a small snack.
• Put all your staff to a small compact bag – we will put all our belongings into water-proof barrels and they are not very large.

You need to be prepared for a possibility of the boat flipping (capsizing). Keep your phone in a waterproof case and have glasses on a string while on the river!
