AMMOOSED: moose odyssey
Hana Nováková – 2025 – 77 min
language: Russian, Czech, English
subtitles: EN, CS
Is there such a thing as a totem animal? And can his call be so strong that he will make a European woman follow in his footsteps? In her moose odyssey, the director follows moose-obsessed people all over the world – from the secret moose of the former Czechoslovakia to a Russian domestication station and a Swedish moose safari to Nova Scotia in Canada. It is there, among the Mi'qmak, who consider moose a sacred animal, that he finds the answer and the deeper meaning of his journey.
