About event
The summer cinema under the stars returns to the Riegro Park in 2026!
The second screening is dedicated to the cult film Lost in Translation.
Lost in Translation (2003)
Director: Sofia Coppola
How do you say "It's worth it..." in Japanese?
Modern Tokyo in its super-city anonymity. Aggressive, pulsating, oblivious, fascinating, fun and aloof... Foreign - at least for two Americans who happen to be here at the same time - and in the same hotel. Actor Bob is to shoot a whiskey commercial in Tokyo, Charlotte, who is much younger, accompanies her photographer husband. Both feel lost here, they don't understand the language, the culture; both have plenty of time - and both suffer from insomnia. A chance meeting, a few days together and a feeling of closeness help both of them overcome loneliness in an unfamiliar environment - and maybe they both get something extra... (ČT)
