About event
At the end of the summer we will project films in our small garden. From Wednesday 27/8 to Friday 29/8 we will show three films, always from 20:00. The entry to the projection is free, but due to the limited capacity it is necessary to book a place on the mail [email protected]
At the foot of the picturesque hill lives Zahradník (Oldřich Kaiser) with his wife, who take care of their small horticulture. Their idyllic life is disrupted when a new owner is going to settle on a nearby chateau who wants to transform the landscape to his liking. When gardening prevents his plans, the sequence of bizarre events launches. The new owner first creates a razor blade fence and closes the driveway. He gradually adds in his actions to intensity to achieve his goals. But the gardener does not give up and tries to defend his home. When the police and the mayor gradually drown in their own bureaucracy, the gardener will definitely take fate into his own hands. Jiří Havelka's new film, balancing on the edge of the bizarre, absurd and tragicomedy is inspired by the real story and literary work of the same name by Karel Čapek.
