About event
The Central Slovak Gallery invites you to the second cycle of four planned summer creative mornings for children aged 8 to 13. This block will be inspired by the villa and the work of painter Dominik Skutecký. Children will try the historical photographic process of cyanotype, painting directly in the garden of the villa, games in the exhibition of the author with the theme of travel and also the creation of light paintings inspired by light in Skutecký's work.
Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Light and garden
We will focus on the atmosphere of the garden at the Skutecký villa. We try painting outdoors and look for places with interesting lighting details. We will use daylight to create a photographic composition using the cyanotype technique, which is also called photochemical blueprinting and is based on the sensitivity of iron salts to sunlight.
Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Light and the works of Dominik Skutecký
Playful activities await us in the exhibition of the author. What exactly is luminism? We will try to capture the light in Skutecký's paintings in such a way that we can transfer it again to photo paper in the photo chamber. We will thus create interesting interpretations of the author's works as well as our own light compositions.
Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Excursion to Mallorca
