Lezing: Zeilend naar een duurzame toekomst - in Westerpark, Amsterdam

Floris and Ivar sailed around the world as "Sailors for Sustainability" with a mission: finding solutions for an ecologically sustainable and socially just future. In 2016 they canceled their jobs, left family and friends and went on a journey of discovery. For eight years they covered more than 56,000 nautical miles, crossed an ocean five times and braved cold, heat, storms and wind silence.

They discovered enchanting nature and heart -warming hospitality, but also saw the impact of pollution, climate change and social inequality. Everywhere they met pioneers who prove that a sustainable future is possible: people who grow food in harmony with nature, generate renewable energy, recover ecosystems and consciously live smaller.

They bundled their experiences and insights in the book "Tackle - sailing to a sustainable future". A unique travel story full of adventures, meetings, personal transformation, sustainability and hope. Floris and Ivar live in the Westerpark district, we asked if they want to share their inspiring adventures with us. They do that with love on Saturday afternoon, 04 October.

Do you want to know why Floris and Ivar believe that together we can tackle ecological and social crises if we tack? Come to the lecture and be inspired!
