About event
LIFE TALKS: The big questions of life
A series of discussions on art, existence and the future - inspired by Paula Modersohn-Becker and Edvard Munch
Panel discussion "Life Talks: Youth and Age"
With Lina Muzur (publishing director, Hanser-Berlin), Birgit Dalbajewa (senior curator, Albertinum), Thomas Köhler (director, Berlinische Galerie), Katherina Steins (Education and Mediation, Dresden State Art Collections) and Awo Mahamoud Abdulqadir (Head, MUNCH UNG)
Location: Berlinische Galerie, Alte Jakobstraße 124-128, Berlin
As early as 1900, youth and old age were seen as two poles of life that are increasingly moving away from each other, but can also support each other. Old age used to be venerable, but today it seems to be more of a nuisance. Youth is idealized – and sometimes underestimated. How do we look at the phases of life? And what can a new coexistence between generations look like, especially in the area of culture?
Moderation: Clemens Bomsdorf, Norwegian Embassy Berlin
