Location: Moriz-Seeler-Straße 1, Moriz-Seeler-Straße 1, Berlin - Bezirk Treptow-Köpenick
About event
Few formations in German music history can build on such a loyal fan base, as the band Lift, founded in 1973 in 1973.
The musicians from Lift understand to combine melodic rock and lyrical texts in a way that can only be found in German countries. Years have matured and has lost none of their dynamics.
In the first seven years of their existence, the albums "lift" and "sea ride" were produced. Songs such as "Water and Wine", "In the evening", "to the south", "Sea trip" and "Day trip" are still an integral part of appearances by Lift.
The year 1978 was a black in the history of the band when the band founder Gerhard Zachar and the singer Henry Pacholski was fatal on a tour.
The song "In the evening of some days" was created under these impressions, which became the hit of the year in the GDR in 1980 and was also found on the 1981 album "Spiegelbild".
2019 Lift started a church program together with former singers of the Dresden Kreuzchor. Occupation
Werther Lohse (voc)
Andreas Leuschner (keyb, voc)
Markus Christ (dr)
Jacob Müller (BG, cello)
2023 celebrated its 50th stage anniversary with a concert in the Dresden Frauenkirche. Stern-Combo Meissen and carousel to experience again as a "Sacred Reier".
