The penultimate of the holiday series of summer concerts MeetFactory will present a quartet of musical projects from different corners of the contemporary experimental electronic scene. LilaTesla, defcatch, Staś Czekalski and music lover anonymous will play in the MeetFactory backyard on Thursday, August 27.
LilaTesla is a producer, recent AVU graduate and promoter behind the morning concert series brekfəst. After her debut EP Jasmine Romance (2023) and a series of concerts that helped her establish herself on the current experimental-club scene, she came out last September with her debut album FATAL (released as the thirtieth release by Gin&Platonic). The album presents a fascinating sound world where post-ambient meets autotune vocals and ethereal synth landscapes with organic sound design.

The last day of music on earth in a postmodern world, squeezed into every bit of MacBook Pro. Explosive club deconstruction, deep atmospheric surfaces and introspective lyrics. In his live sets, defcatch creates a world shaped by abstract sound design and field recordings, where noise and over-effected guitars alternate with dubstep growls and unpredictable drops. In 2024, he released his debut album Przygody on the Mondoj label, a work capturing the intensity and intimacy of a lived experience. With a series of short compositions, the album evokes the changing seasons, sunny walks and fleeting impressions of everyday encounters. Earlier this year he collaborated with Zach Howenstein (aka music lover anonymous) on the October EP.

music lover anonymous is the project of Upstate NY artist, Zach Howenstein. His process observes the often overlooked qualities of life, highlighting the beauty in the mundane and placing the listener in a place in time. He is currently releasing his debut LP, I painted my fence in the rain so I could do it all over again, a practice of "exploration without conclusion". Zach runs the label Portraiture and also organizes a series of shows called Little Window from his apartment in Kingston.

LilaTesla is a sonic alchemist, blending shards of clubs and dancefloors together with glittering glitches and audio glam. Following her debut EP Jasmine Romance, which offered soothing soundscapes and warm embrace, LilaTesla released her debut album FATAL via Gin&Platonic. The record blends diverse ingredients into a seductive potion of late-night elegance, alluring like her self-composed perfume, which was part of her recent diploma.
