LINA_ y MARCO MEZQUIDA

Unstoppable, Marco Mezquida, a regular of our festival, returns with a new project next to the Portuguese fadist Lina_, who says this about his collaboration with the Pianist Menorquín: «Marco contributed a great lightness to my music. The piano is a very complete instrument, with which I have always had close contact, but with Marco there is something different. It is as if the piano was an extension of his body. And the way it addresses it makes me float. " Float, fly, two verbs that are not at all alien to the poetics of Mezquida, as we know, fortunate witnesses of their thousand and one adventures. "It is a very organic and fluid repertoire," says the pianist, in coincidence with Lina_, who guarantees that the place that is built in this new album is exactly the one that his voice wants to inhabit now. The result of his collaboration is, for the moment, the EP or Fado, a beautiful testimony that, as the promotion of the recording says, "from these meetings something arises that exceeds the sum of the parties, something that neither of them would be able to achieve on their own."
