The literary walk with the subtitle "Settlements and places of everyday life in poetry from the 1950s to the 1980s" will be accompanied by the literary scholar and poet Viliam Nádaskay.
📖 From the 50s of the 20th century, people from various corners of Slovakia began to move to Bratislava in a planned manner. This phenomenon necessarily found a reflection in the poetry of the time, whether it was a reflection of the new urban experience of the immigrants, or the reflections of the locals on the transformation of the city. The poetic image of the city as a space changing into a socialist residence and subsequently as a space of complicated existence was jointly created by a number of authors. 👣 The excursion will start at the housing estate of 500 apartments in front of the Nostalgia cinema, we will stop at Karadžičová, we will go to the corner of Záhradníčka and Miletičová and at the end we will glance towards the new Ružinov as an example of a housing estate built and lived in during the normalization period. Although the excursion will focus on relatively recent history, its aim is to show the poetic means by which authors present life and everyday life in Bratislava, what they noticed in its otherwise unnoticed space, and what kind of relationship it was even possible to have with their city during the period of socialist construction .
