Man and people on the streets of Bratislava according to Slovak poetry

The motifs of human encounters, random passers-by, and the common sharing of public space are also inherent in literary images of the city. The scene of these situations is usually the sidewalks, streets and squares of the city, as well as the addresses where people go every day for work, culture and social rituals. Therefore, we will focus on the city center, its streets and squares, the former corso, as well as the addresses of the period's literary, cultural and social life. Our guides will mainly be poems by Slovak poets from the second half of the 20th century. We will also selectively recap how selected historical events during socialism were reflected in poetry.
