About event
Literary walks A2: Stories of the Old Town - legends, rumors, events
with Tomáš Vučka and Lukáš Rychetský
A commented walk through the Old Town of Prague will bring participants closer to some interesting historical moments (clearance, the fate of the Jewish population in the ghetto - the great pogrom in the 14th century, etc.), will introduce them to some aspects of life in this locality in the 19th century (cultural and social life) and will also recall some legends and rumours. We will also not forget various lesser-known attractions (archaeological finds, stories of Old Prague churches and bell towers, underground spaces under the Old Town, etc.). During the walk, examples from literary works that resonate with the Old Town area will be quoted (M. Urban, G. Včelička, K. H. Mácha, J. Foglar, etc.).
Meeting at 2:00 p.m. Petra, route length approx. 5 km (not barrier-free).
