About event
✨ As part of Brno Book Open vol. III there will be a literary evening associated with the exhibition Maria Kotrby - Conditio Humana in the House of Arts of the city of Brno, and we cordially invite you!
✨ Two sculptors. Two poets.
Texts by Jaroslav Žila, Karel Jaromír Erben, Jan Balabán and Svaté Jan. They are running around, stomping around Kotrba.
Petr Hruška, Jiří Plieštik, Jan Šnéberger and Radovan Jursa will perform.
✨ The composed literary evening will present texts that are directly connected with Mario Kotrba (Jan Balabán, Jiří Plieštik), texts by his friends (Jaroslav Žila, Petr Hruška) and texts by Kotrb's favorite authors with connotations to his work (K. J. Erben, Janovo apparitions and others).
✨ The chamber reading at Café Kaprál will be complemented by the personal memories of the participants and the musical input of Aleš Řezáč and Jan Šnéberger, a sculptor and a graduate of Kotrb's sculpture studio at the Faculty of Arts in Ostrava, who will perform throughout the evening.
< br/>✨ Admission is free, no need to book for the event. We recommend arriving on time.
✨ The event is part of Brno Book Open 2024 and will take place in Café Kaprál (Údolní 17).
