An interview with Anna Hajkova about the book "People without the Herity Dust" The reason is the generally widespread homophobia of victims or survivors, which led to the voices of these people were largely erased from the archives. In her research, Anna Hájková offers a well -founded view of the long -term secret Queer history that changes our understanding of the Holocaust history.
The aim of the meeting with Anna Hájková is also to return the taboo the topic of the Holocaust History History to collective memory and to better understand the world of victims of Nazi genocide.
The book of Anna Hájková Lidé without the field of dust offers the first attempt to capture the history of these silent voices. In three chapters - at the beginning of Queer desire in the Holocaust period, the dramatic story of Prague resistance Irena Miller's resistance and five fate of Queer of Jewish teenagers, including Anna Frank - Lidé without the field of dust offers a well -founded view of the long -secret history. The Czech translation is supplemented by the original foreword documentary filmmaker and historian Martin Šmok. It is published with Goethe-Institut's support.
Dr. Anna Hájková (1978) is a historian of the Jewish history of the Holocaust with a primary focus on the experiences of the victims and an expert in everyday life and sexuality during the Holocaust. She studied history in Toronto, Canada, as well as English and sociology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He currently works as a lecturer of modern European history at the University of Warwick in the UK, where he leads the center of global Jewish studies. During her research career, she has won a number of prestigious awards, such as Catharine Stimpson Prize for Outstanding Feminist ScholarShip 2013. In her research, he focuses on uncovering stories that history often circumvents, such as the award -winning book "Last Ghetto. Michal Hvorecký
