Literature, culture and architecture in contemporary Venezuela
The conversation between Vanessa Márquez, Debby Avendaño and Adrian Navia (University of Los Andes, Mérida/Hggs Heidelberg) proposes How literary, cultural and architectural imaginary have anticipated and represented processes of modernization, exclusion and urban fragmentation. Interdisciplinary dialogue reveals how these cultural practices offer critical keys to understand the transformations of Venezuelan urban space, showing tensions between tradition and modernity, belonging and otherness that mark the experience of the twentieth century and its current resonances.
