The bands of Stevens High School from Rapid City, South Dakota, USA, have built an international reputation for their musical performances since the school opened in 1969 perfection. The band has won countless top honors in competitions and won many first places in marching competitions throughout the Midwestern United States. In 1986, the Stevens High School Band was awarded the prestigious Sudler Flag of Honor Award by the John Philip Sousa Foundation for an exceptionally high standard of concert performance. The band toured all over Europe (Germany, England, Austria, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Greece), Australia, New Zealand and performed at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. The band also participated in the famous Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. The bands at Stevens High School are led by George Dragoo and Jordan Seidel.
