About event

LIVE FUNDING 2025 ON NOVEMBER 7!

Experience what solidarity tastes like with us.

Live Funding is a type of donation event whose concept originates from London and is gradually spreading to other countries. We have been successfully organizing it in Banská Bystrica since 2015. The event brings an excellent atmosphere and inspiration for both experienced and new donors, develops a sense of belonging and the joy of participating in something meaningful together.

Register by November 5, 2025 by email to [email protected]. The minimum amount of the donation is 30 euros.

How does Live Funding take place?

Two to three non-profit organizations are usually presented at Live Funding. The nominated organization prepares an interesting project with a budget of 700-1000 euros, which it presents at the event and tries to motivate visitors to contribute to it. Each organization has 6 minutes for a presentation and 6 minutes for questions from the audience. Each project has its own ambassador, who will tell the reasons why he supports the organization and makes the first donation. The presenter motivates everyone present to join and together collect the amount that will enable the implementation of the presented projects.

Who is applying for your support this year?

HUMANITY Festival (o.z. Puťáčik)
The Humanity Festival is a continuation of three successful years that connected diverse communities in Zvolen and opened space for dialogue.

The Festival Humanity 2026 wants to change the way diversity, climate responsibility and digital challenges are approached in the city of Zvolen. Our goal is to improve relations between communities, support the inclusion of vulnerable groups, develop critical thinking in the digital space and strengthen civic engagement. The festival connects the public, volunteers and organizations, creates a space for dialogue about climate impacts on urban life, the risks of social networks and the possibilities of cooperation in the community. The project fulfills the objectives of the program We are open by supporting a sensitive perception of otherness, respect between cultures and the active involvement of residents in building an open, solidary society. the microclimate it creates. In the backyard of the Benické house, it has been operating for fifteen years as an important important space for contemporary art, community activities and education. It represents a unique oasis of green in the densely built-up city center, which suffers from a lack of natural areas.

The garden gradually became a meeting place for artists, volunteers, students, families and active residents of the city. In addition to cultural and social events, smaller ecologically oriented activities (e.g. community planting, green maintenance, material recycling, workshops) take place here. However, these activities do not yet have a systematic concept, regularity or sufficient connection to the wider environmental context of the city.
With this project, we would like to make the environmental dimension of the Garden visible and draw attention to its greenery, as an inseparable element of the urban ecosystem, as an active educational and climatically beneficial environment, not just a passive green element. Thanks to the activities of the project, we will raise awareness of nature in the urban environment, increase ecological literacy, as well as support the potential for exchanging knowledge and traditional "green skills" between generations.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday, November 7!
