Live Music & Silent Cinema: The Last Laugh (1924)

Silent cinema gets its voice in a live music performance. F. W. Murnau’s classic comes alive with a live score that blends the organic and the digital, the intimate and the expansive. The movie The Last Laugh (Der letzte Mann) tells a story of a doorman (Emil Jannings), who is laid off by his luxurious hotel for his senior age. It provokes a series of unfortunate events as we follow the protagonist in his struggle for respect and justice

Nastya Prigoda (vocals), Mario Preciado (cello), tur21t (DJ, electronics)
