The Sunset Society • So sweet • Cardigan Inn
On Sunday, April 13, the Volkshotel will be transformed into a music temple with concerts of rising bands and live acts spread over the 9 floors of the hotel. Indiestad, 3voor12, Excelsior Recordings, Little Red Riding Hood, Conservatory Amsterdam and breeding ground VKG have put together a program. Get ready to wander through the hotel, to find almost every corner a stage and discover your new favorite artists.
The Sunset Society
The Sunset Society evokes the atmosphere of California in the 60s, where sun -drenched beaches and harmonious melodies come together. The band calls their style Sunshinepop with surf influences, in which echoing guitars and dreamy harmonies come together. Sweet love songs take you to a summer that never seems to end.

Hypnotizing, heavenly and hard. This is how sweet creates a kaleidoscopic sound in which eccentric nostalgia resounds. Velvety vocals float above fuzzy guitars and wavy synthesizers. Influences from psychedelics, Dream Pop, Chamber Pop, Indie and Garagerock merge into a progressive sound with a retrorandje.
Cardigan Inn
Cardigan Inn lets New Wave and '80s Synthpop melt with a raw, modern twist. Their songs explore love, desire and mysticism of the digital age. Under the guidance of an enigmatic singer, their texts dive deep into introspection and urban disillusion.
