About event
The exhibition Herbarium presents the same author's collection of hand -knitted clothing and accessories Lívia Rášová. 🧶🌿
reveals not only the original design of clothing, but above all a deep and consistent concept of making slow fashion in connection with botany. It turns our view of the surrounding nature and elements that create it and refer to the craft skills and the precision of the artistic creation of our ancestors. For her sweaters, vests and caps, the author draws inspiration in well -known medicinal plants such as dual -dysp of the dial -meal or clusi, but also from lesser -known, law -protected treasures of nature such as alpine, or even fungi (oak mushroom) and cereal (sowed). It examines their growth, effects, shape and color aesthetics. It processes the results of observations in its designs, which it then applies to the silhouette of individual clothing and braided patterns. Part of this unique collection is knitted from a wool of sheep from local breeders and is a sincere tribute to local traditions. The Herbarium project is not only left at the level of aesthetics, but it opens important questions about the use of medicinal plants in our daily lives, the need for their deeper scientific research, protection, but also emphasizing their value in today's anthropocentric world. His legacy is also learning from more than human entities, as they have gone through a longer evolution and we can learn a lot from them. 🧵🪡
