About event
At the beginning everything seems to be a game: the actors of LOEV do everything they can to impress each other. They move like strange creatures, playing, whistling, honking, boasting and strutting around. One shyly tries to attract attention, hopping cautiously around the room. Another goes too aggressively into a playful tussle and is admonished. Who is impressing whom here? Who reflects who? Emotions are running high, higher and higher! Is everything still OK? LOEV is a co-production of the Dutch dance theater AYA and the Maat Saxophone Quartet - a lively dance performance with live music about the many facets of love: about romantic and friendly bonds, about the desire for belonging. It's about finding someone so special that you can't stand still. With four dancers and four musicians, a powerful production unfolds that shows: Love - in all its forms - is stronger than hate.
"Dancing on an incredibly great level, the group moves through scenic advances, unrequited feelings, affection and rejection and the performers captivate the children in dynamic, swirling and really smart choreographies. Driven and supported by the mate saxophone Quartet."
