Loreta a její okolí

The walk with the guide Martin Bělohradský starts at the statues of Tycho Brahe and Jan Kepler, from where it will lead through Hradčany to the Prague Castle tram stop.

Participants will visit the baroque gem of Hradčany with the treasury that preserves the Prague Sun - a monstrance decorated with more than 6,000 diamonds and listen to the famous carillon, talk about Hradčany The house – a symbol of communist terror and torture of heroes III. resistance. They will also find out why Tycho de Brahe moved his astronomical observations from Hradčany to Brandýs nad Labem, participants will also see the house where he lived not far from Loreta. They will see the cage where the bear was kept in Jelení kopá - a gift to President Masaryk from the representatives of Subcarpathian Rus. Finally, they will look at the back tract of the Sternberg Palace, from where the paintings of El Greco, Frans Hals and Tintoretto were stolen in 1972.
