LOVEBITES

Japanese quintet LOVEBITES in Prague for the first time. This all-female formation crushes genre barriers with top-notch power metal, uncompromising technical precision and guitar equilibration that brings back the shine of the classic British school.

"On July 26th at the Rock Café, you will experience a lesson in the Japanese perspective on honest metal."

LOVEBITES are not just another export from the rich Japanese scene; this all-female lineup is a full-blooded heavy metal machine that conquered the stages of festivals like Wacken Open Air or Bloodstock. Since their formation in 2016, they have developed into icons of modern power metal, which rely on incredible speed and instrumental maturity. Their sound is based on the solid foundations of NWOBHM, which they infuse with neoclassical elements and modern ferocity. The tandem of female guitarists Midori and Miyako is one of the best that the current world scene has to offer, and their interplay is the definition of surgical precision.

The current record Judgement Day confirmed that the band caught a second wind after the arrival of the talented bassist Fami. LOVEBITES do not rely on visual glitter, but on superb musicianship, which earned them the Best New Band award from Metal Hammer.

"On July 26th, at the Rock Café, proof awaits us that precise heavy metal in the best sense of the word has no borders or gender."
