Hello,
We invite you to the lower halfguard seminar. Lower leg shift or coyote halfguard is a modification of the classic standing up with an underhook. Its main advantage is the rotation of the opponent's hip so that he cannot effectively push into you as in the classic standing up with an underhook. The first block will be handled by Ja (Mára), where I will explain the basics of the lowerleg shift and subsequent combinations to get the upper position. The second block will be taken by Jura Závodný, who says:
In the afternoon block, we will focus on the situation when the opponent stops our work with the Lower leg shift.
As an answer, we will use Deep half guard, which I use as plan B (sometimes also plan A😅) when the lower leg shift fails. Together, these techniques form a very complex system, which is a high-percentage tool for getting up from under the opponent, straight into strong passing positions.
