About event

At the April LQ - Literary Kviente, we will discuss the books of Dedo Lužko by Márius Kopcsay and the sulfur boiler by Karol Horák.

The LQ - Literary Cvracent discussion format has been trying to fulfill a long -term call for critical reflection of contemporary literary work in Slovakia. There are always two distinctive original literary works in the center of each program of the program. The selection criterion is the timeliness of the title or the degree of its resonance in the home cultural environment. Grandpa Lužko is a man of the twentieth century, has lived in uniforms all his life, all regimes. Karol, his grandson, grew up during normalization and in early capitalism. Dedoluško was eternally young. Kajoluško has been old since childhood. Dedoluško felt filled and satisfied, although he lived in a world of freedom. Kajoluško lives freely, yet he experiences one frustration after another. Dedoluško was a moral man, although he served the immoral system. Kajoluško longs for a righteous society, but he is committed to mischief. How will it turn out? And where did the yellow bag go?

The book was published by KK Bagala. The Horák Playwright is manifested through the gradual gradation of a conflict, which often results in personal and collective disasters. The parable is the author through the animal world, which is our, human, similar to its tragicity. Nevertheless, there is a comedian in his work, especially her ironic, grotesque or absurd modus.

The book was published by Modrý Peter.

The establishment of public sources event was supported by the Art Support Fund. The partners of the event are the Bratislava City Foundation, Staré Mesto and Romers House.
