“El Sueño (“The Dream” in Spanish) is the new project by Lucas Dorado.
The Swiss-Argentinian artist invites us to discover a fascinating mix of jazz and Argentine folklore. He not only presents two musical worlds, but also takes us on a journey to dream. While his compositions are inspired by a dream world, it is also one of his dreams to share his music with the audience and to take listeners on a musical journey - a journey that takes them away from everyday life for the duration of a concert... Lucas Dorado founded the project “El Sueño” in 2023, in which he gives free rein to his limitless creativity and dreaming. The band has already performed on renowned international stages such as Zig Zag Jazzclub Berlin, Latin Jazz Festival Stuttgart and of course the Duc des Lombards Jazzclub in Paris, where he lives.
He regularly invites singers such as Céline Rudolph, Ingrid Legrand and Camille Bertault to perform with him.
The band won the audience prize in the final of the “Tonnerre de Jazz” competition in France in 2024, and has been performing since September 2024 represented by the French music agency Musicart Productions. The first album “El Sueño” was released in spring 2025, followed by a release tour through Europe and a live appearance on Radio TSF Jazz. The CD received very good reviews, especially from Jazz News, France Musique and Deutschlandfunk Kultur.
