Since the ESC 2025 and his multi-layered appearance, the name Lucio Corsi has been spreading rapidly beyond Italy's borders. Ed Sheeran is already a fan and describes his hit “Volevo essere un duro” as brilliant. With the accompanying album, Lucio Corsi was certified gold in Italy. Now the Italian is coming to Berlin for a promising show.
The artist, who was born in Tuscany, put on a brilliant show on stage. Over time, numerous musicians have been added to the musicians who accompany Corsi at all shows: pianist, choir, keyboards, guitar, drums, bass, four woodwinds and percussion. Tommaso Ottomano – his artistic right hand as well as director and co-writer – and his iconic photographer Francis Delacroix also appeared on stage. Lucio Corsi is more than just the replacement for Italy at this year's ESC in Basel. He is a musician who can still be discovered in Germany. What is revealed to the audience here is a multi-faceted songwriter who has already enjoyed great success in Italy. His upcoming tour, which includes a stop in Germany, is the perfect opportunity for the artist to delight his international audience after placing fifth for Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
The entry song “Volevo essere un duro” quickly spread throughout Europe, entering the Spotify Viral 50 charts in 23 European countries. The single reached number 1 on the Ear One Airplay chart in Italy as the most played independent song for ten consecutive weeks. Among the songs released this year, “Volevo essere un duro” is the most streamed Italian-language song on Spotify so far abroad. These new important steps in Corsi's journey follow his recent double win at the Targhe Tenco Awards, where he won the Best Song and Best Album categories. The Tenco Awards are one of Italy's most prestigious music awards, honoring artists who have made a significant contribution to the art of songwriting.
What makes his art so special is the interweaving of surreal images with poetry, combining an occasionally grotesque world with a musically rich structure. Influenced by glam rock and musicians such as David Bowie and Lou Reed, Corsi mixes folk elements with those of cantautore and uses his special artistic standards to invent deeper stories that he knows how to convey with his music. In February 2026, there will be an exclusive opportunity in Berlin to look at Lucio Corsi's work and be transported into his world.
