Ľudské práva patria všetkým (workshop + ľudskoprávny kvíz)

PRIDE month is also an opportunity to talk about human rights. The Slovak National Center for Human Rights has therefore prepared the event Human rights belong to everyone, during which we will focus on the current topics of the protection of the rights of LGBTI+ people and test our knowledge in a human rights quiz. Marián Filčík from the Center will introduce you to the current legal and social context of the protection of the rights of LGBTI+ people, present the scope and mandates of the Center as an anti-discrimination body and national human rights institution, the risks of the amendment of the Constitution adopted in September 2025 and will explain how the process of creating legislation works, including the possibility for the public to participate in the creation of legislation, as well as whether and to what extent the decisions/recommendations of European courts and international human rights bodies are binding for the Slovak Republic in the area of respecting the rights of LGBTI+ people.

At the end, you will be able to test your knowledge about human rights, diversity and the history of the PRIDE movement in a human rights quiz. Questions from the field of human rights, LGBTI+ topics, current events and interesting things from Slovakia and the world await you. The quiz is open to everyone, regardless of previous knowledge, and aims to combine learning with fun in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. The human rights quiz will be moderated by Jakub Popík.
