🗣️ We invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition Lustig: Witness to the destruction of humanity and the subsequent launch of the catalog. The author of the exhibition, Bohumil Melichar, and Eva Lustigová, daughter of Arnošt Lustig, will guide the exhibition and present the catalogue. 📖
The exhibition prepared on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of world-renowned writer, journalist, screenwriter and Holocaust witness Arnošt Lustig (1926–2011) opens the question of a literary work as a testimony of Nazi genocide. The project was created in cooperation with the Arnošt Lustig Foundation, which is organizing FestivAL100 for this jubilee. The exhibition can be seen from 6/5 to 19/7/2026.
Guided tour and launch of the catalogue
On Tuesday 16/6 from 5 p.m. there will be a guided tour of the exhibition with the participation of its author, pedagogue and historian Bohumil Melichar, and Eva Lustigová, daughter of Arnošt Lustig and director of the Arnošt Lustig Endowment Fund. After the tour, at approximately 6 p.m., the catalog for the exhibition Lustig: Witness to the Disruption of Humanity will be launched. Subsequently, Eva Lustigová will read excerpts from the books published on the occasion of the anniversary, and selected books will be available for purchase. The catalog can be purchased for the duration of the exhibition at the e-shop of the Museum of Literature or at the museum reception for the price of CZK 320. Admission to the accompanying program is free and no reservation is required.
