About event
LVMEN
"At the beginning of the nineties, Neurosis, with their strong, physically and mentally demanding, cathartic sound, became a great inspiration for many people who were looking for depth in music through volume and emotion. Among those who fell for this phenomenon were also young punks from the Czech Republic, who took the name Lvmen in 1993. Their first two albums were released in 1998 and 2000 on the Day After Records label, and even then no one could imagine a good record collection without these two titles. The sound of Neurosis meets the edginess of Unsane and at the same time the completely specific sound that has become a trademark of the band. It is not an exaggeration to say that on this side of the Atlantic they were just as inspiring as their aforementioned role models as a result of various personal upheavals, the band showed signs of life again in 2006 and was given new energy by the third album "Mondo", which was followed in 2008 by the crushing "Heron". It was believed that these recordings would bring Lvmen to the top again, but fate decided otherwise - an unexpected fatal blow in the form of the death of guitarist Dada forced the band to take a break again. As if that was not enough, after nine years of silence, just before the release of the new album, Lvmen unexpectedly lost another member in the summer of 2017. Nevertheless, the band finished the album "Mitgefangen Mitgehangen" and proved that, despite the tragedies that haunt them like a shadow, they have not lost any of their strength. This is also fully manifested at concerts, where - strengthened by new members and two drum kits - Lvmen perform a series of powerful cathartic performances. Shortly after their end, they start working on new material. Guitarist Tomis, who recorded their first two cult records with Lvmen, also participates in the creative process.
The album called "Amen" is released on 7/13 again on Day After Records and captures the band in excellent form. The recording is compact and hard, but still full of a mysterious, hard-to-grasp atmosphere, typical samples and uncompromising rhythms. It clearly proves that the Lvmen are back in full force.” Banán 2025

DROM
Liberty post-metal collective based on the tradition of Czech emo-core bands such as Lvmen, Thema Eleven or Ravelin 7. Drom have been active on the scene since 2010 and have five split vinyls and four major studio recordings. The latest one, entitled Pustina, was released under the Kabinet Records banner on Friday, September 6, 2024, and after six years followed the album Tady bůh ní!, which won the Břitva award for the best Czech hard rock record of 2018. Two years later, the music video for the song Ostny v dlani, directed by Jan Škop and David Mencl, received the same award. For the album Nestor from 2012, the band was also nominated for the Anděl award in the genre category Punk and Hardcore. However, the main purpose of Drom's existence is live performances. During its existence, the Podještěd collective performed practically all over Europe, preceded the Belgian Amenra and the British Tragedy, and also presented its music at festivals such as Brutal Assault, Fluff Fest, the Polish Asymmetry, the AFO documentary film festival or the Summer Film School in Uherské Hradiště, where it accompanied the screening of silent films with a special live set. In their work, the band often opens up unpleasant societal topics - be it the concentration camp in Lety u Písek, the life story of the Ukrainian anarchist Nestor Makhno, or the speed with which humanity is destroying its planet. Sharing ideas, meeting each other, common passion and friendship. Life is a journey. The way is Drom.
