Collective Body, 1970
The participants wear colorful overalls that are sewn together in various places with a thin thread. This restricts individual freedom of movement and forces people to move around the room as a closed unit. This performance emphasizes the interdependence of the characters. Functioning as a collective identity is essentially based on the sensitive coordination of all movements of the individual actors with one another.
