About event
MTO Universal is heading to Lucerna Music Bar - on September 15th, an evening awaits us, which will not only be a concert, but rather a playful, slightly absurd musical ride through Czech and world pop culture. If you like Divadlo Sklep, exaggeration and music that cannot be completely classified, you are in the right place.
Tickets for CZK 550 can be found at https://musicbar.cz/cs/program/m-t-o-universal/.
MTO (Small Dance Orchestra) Universal Praha consists of members of Divadla Sklep, who present themselves in the role of singers and musicians. At the time of "communist rule", the group resorted to semi-illegality, where they compensated for their official disrecognition by copying their more successful colleagues: both orchestras and groups (e.g. Katapult), and individual superstars of the television screen (Pavel Liška, Hanička Zagorová, Drupi, Dušan Grůň, Karel Hála, etc., etc.). Today, however, Elvis Presley, Tom Jones and Frank Sinatra and other world names complete the repertoire.
Prague artists: František Skála, Zdeněk Lhotský, Aleš Najbrt, members of Divadla Sklep: Tomáš Hanák, Lenka Vychodilová, Jana Hanáková, Fero Burda and musicians: Roman Fojtíček, Jiří Kulich Novotný and Luděk Polifka appear behind instruments and microphones.
