M1 Project Sport: Skialp worskhop

Worskop for all who want to learn, how to properly plan skialp hikes, increase your safety in the mountains and better understand avalanche issues. A skiing workshop, which is organized in M1 Project Sport in cooperation with the Summit Trade partner, is a unique event that will take place on February 20, 2025 at the M1 Project store from 18:00. The workshop will be led by an experienced instructor of ski mountaineering and climbing Ján Blažej, who will perform the participants with all the key aspects of safe movement in the mountains.

Introduction and welcome participants (10 minutes)

• The lecturer will welcome the participants and briefly introduce them to the workshop. (40 minutes)
  • listeners will learn how to identify risky situations, understand the basic principles of avalanche prevention and acquire basic theoretical knowledge of avalanches.
Li> The necessary equipment for ski mountaineering and avalanche safety (50 minutes)
• The participants will show what equipment they should have on a skialp hike. It will include a practical performance of equipment they can try on the spot.
• Li> participants will learn how to effectively plan ski mountaineering and descents, analyze the terrain and adapt the plan to the conditions in the mountains.

• A practical example of how to proceed in an avalanche accident. The workshop participants will test the foundations of avalanche rescue led by an instructor.
