Together with members of the fixed timber light ensemble, Maaike Wierda brings a new song program from her favorite singer: Carole King!
Carole wrote many hits, including: 'A Natural Woman', It's Too Late, You've Got A Friend '. An evening full of her beautiful songs and a glimpse into her eventful life.
Maaike was born in 1972 in beautiful old Zutphen and grew up in a musical family. Music was always made and at the age of 7 she started playing with cello and at the age of 15 with double bass. At the age of 18 she was hired at the conservatory in Enschede. Then she graduated from The Hague Conservatory in 2000 via the Amsterdam Conservatory. As a freelance bassist, she has since played with many Dutch orchestras and ensembles and has been able to participate in the most diverse projects from Opera to Tango.
