Mac Ayres in Zonnehuis

Mac Ayres is a self-made singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Long Island, New York. His music moves smoothly between Soul, R&B, Jazz and Hiphop, with influences from d’Angelo, Stevie Wonder and J Dilla, among others. In 2017 he broke through with the Lome, sometimes Lo-Fi debut 'Drive Slow', with his most popular track: "Easy". This was followed by the albums 'Something to Feel' (2018), 'Juicebox' (2019), 'Magic 8ball' (2021) and 'Comfortable Enough' (2023), in which he further deepened his warm, introspective style with soulful arrangements and layered production. His work received attention from Vogue, Billboard, Complex, Highsnobiety and the BBC.

In November 2024, Ayres released the compilation 'Cloudy', a collection of fifteen songs that highlight his early musical journey. The album contains original recordings of his first SoundCloud releases, including "She Just Wanna See Me Rn", "Wrong", "Alone with You" and "Blue Skies". Ayres regards this project as a tribute to his early years as an artist, in which he developed his skills and got to know himself as a person. The compilation offers an intimate view of its growth and the foundations of its current musical identity.
