MAD MONKEY ROOM: DOPPEL SOLO

A double solo show in the cozy living room in the Mad Monkey Room, one of the coolest comedy clubs in Berlin.

Josef and Abbas play one Double solo show in the Mad Monkey Room. The Grinspun-Alwakeel duo is half Hamburg, half Berlin, completely silly and completely authentic.

Abbas Alwakeel...

...gained his first stage experiences during his studies as a poet and actor in the university theater in Iraq. In 2015 he moved to Germany to study. In 2022 he discovered his passion for stand-up comedy. Today Abbas commutes between Hamburg and Berlin and is a regular part of both comedy scenes. He performs full-time as a comedian and presenter.

Josef Grinspun...

...has been on stage since 2021 to make people laugh.

Funny things are constantly happening to Josef in everyday life that he just can't let go of and which he brings to the stage with his own look and a pinch of self-irony.

His His silly nature has already given him the Golden Ticket in the Quatsch Comedy Newcomer Competition - HotShot, openings for Fabi Rommel and enables him to perform regularly in many established clubs in the country such as: Mad Monkey Room, Quatsch Comedy Club, Downstairs Comedy Club, and ComedyFlash. He also moderates his own weekly open mic in Berlin and various mix show formats such as Chaos Comedy Club throughout Germany.
