About event
Madhouse Express
To some they remind the Doors, to others Pink Floyd. But even though Madhouse Express has its foundations of inspiration in the 60s and 70s, on the tracks of their own invention, talent and experimental elements, they set out on a track that clearly deviates from the Czech scene. An unidentifiable cosmic "whirlwind" with one-eyed dwarves and a colorful mind that is lost in the spirals of time. They combine mood swings, intense guitar riffs, sprawling synthesizers, 60s keyboards, energetic drums, astral bass lines and dreamily crazy vocals. They enrich the entire show with their own video projections.
Orient
Prague band Orient first made themselves known in 2017, when they won the Vinyl award in the Discovery of the Year category. And even a year before she released her long-playing debut, the experimental electronic record V. At the beginning of September 2022, she sent the follow-up to her debut, the new album Redwood, into the world. It was released on the Kabinet Records label and offers a completely different sound on seven tracks. The members of Orient exchanged experimental electronics for prog rock with a whole range of live instruments. "I don't know if we needed a change, but it naturally led us to it. I can't imagine us continuing with the funds from the first record. That sound was already limited for us. At the same time, we didn't want to sample and use purely electronic stuff. This naturally led us to a more acoustic sound," explained singer Lukáš Polák in an interview for Radio Wave.
