🏆 SLOVAK CHAMPIONSHIPS are the biggest celebration of slam poetry in Slovakia. 🔥
Qualifying for them, however, is not so easy. Only ten lucky people from Slovakia will compete on 31/10/2025 in Tabačka in Košice.
The prize is a financial reward, the title of champion and a place at the European Championships in Graz, Austria in 2026.🇦🇹
We present to you the winners of the qualification from five cities in Slovakia, who are representatives of our biggest scenes.
There are only three rules:
1. No costume or prop
2. Author's text with which the slammer did not perform at the qualification or championships in previous years
3. Time limit 4 minutes. 2 points are deducted for every 5 seconds after exceeding the limit, after exceeding 5 minutes the contestant is disqualified
Come and decide on the eighth champion or champion of Slovakia and enjoy a selection of the best that the Slovak scene has produced in 2025.
In 2025, you will be introduced to: a feeling she's afraid to express so she can say it's just an art form and doesn't mean anything. Don't be fooled, he means the emotions he describes seriously, but not the jokes. It would be a problem if someone got it wrong.
Naty enjoys slamming for several reasons - she can complain (which she's very good at) and it's a way to express feelings and tell bad jokes without being taken seriously. Maybe that is also the reason why he is studying psychology. He rambles on about pretty women, his family and everything else that's on his mind (but mostly it's the pretty women).
NOBODY: (it/them) talks about personal topics that affect them deeply. But personal is political. And so Niko vents his anger on society through the straw, while also angering the audience at times. In the end, however, she always promises that next time she will write something funny and light-hearted.
ABBY: The most prominent voice of trans people in Slovak Slam, initiator of ecumenical programs, trainer of snail pokemon, cook of social soups, forever second, fluent in Slovak, proud Štítničan.
she entered the world of slam poetry only recently. However, from the moment she decided to jump into these wild waters, she became a favorite swimmer of the Košice scene. She has been drawn to poetry and literary creation since childhood, and in 2023 she published her first book. When she is not floating in the world of words, her creative spirit also finds application in the theater and visual arts, which fill the scraps of her free time.
MURO: he is a Tatra nobody, a villain and an anarchist. He likes to create poems, videos, films, music, graffiti or anything else that can be created. He started devoting himself to poetry already in primary school, with the aim of phoning as many teachers as possible during boring hours. Now he's already pissing off desolates and nags on the Internet. Unless he's lecturing on stags, traveling somewhere without money, running away from the authorities or risking his life, freedom and health for funny stories, which he'll be happy to tell you over a beer, especially if you buy him one.
NACHT: he's a slammer who doesn't put any protective mask on his feelings. His lyrics are full of raw emotions and human vulnerability. Symbolism, metaphors, philosophical reflections - you will find all of this in his verses. He started slamming last year, but he has already managed to perform in almost every city of the East Slovak scene, win the November slam exhibition of the small scene and become the KING OF VŔŠK. If you're looking for something that grabs your heart, stirs your core, caresses your soul, and then digs you in, Nacht is one you don't want to miss.
TALI : she's constantly confused, occasionally creative, and never punctual. Above all, she is a big lover of side-quests, because they help her forget the seriousness of everyday life. Most recently, she decided to travel 5 hours to Bardejov from Žilina by Slovak railways, just so she could have an excuse not to think about graduation for one day.
SIMON: Rojko lost in the absurdity of everyday life. A dreamer from Podpoľania, a self-proclaimed poet and a fly with eight legs.
ANDREJ KLOBUŠNÍK: The first king of the hill, teacher of nations, destroyer of tumors and hysterical historian. Finalist of the 2023 championships. The heavyweight of the Slovak slam. The greatest Slovak poet - at least in terms of dimensions. At the altitude where his brain is, the air is already thin, which results in wild associations that connect the seemingly unconnected in his texts.
