About event

Come and join us to explore and create through all your senses!

Welcome to the MAKING SENSE MINIFESTIVAL!

Come join us for an afternoon of exploring and experimenting through all your senses!

This day will launch our minifestival, which is focused on celebrating embodied, multi-sensory ways of knowing, opening up a space for questioning and expanding the possibilities of your creative process! Inviting you to play, experiment, we will give you the opportunity to think through making, engaging your body through dialogue with materiality.

Date: Sun Apr 27 2025

Time: 13:00 - 21.00

Location: Vysoká škola kreativní komunikace - DOMECEKK + Courtyard

Hosted by Making Sense Lab, this event is open to students, practitioners, researchers, and anyone curious and eager to explore the process of knowing through creative, multi-sensory engagement with materials and our environment. Whether you’re a maker, a thinker, or someone with a passion for experimentation, we invite you to join us for an afternoon of workshops, followed by an evening of music and drinks.

Making Sense - Ways of Knowing

  • What does it mean to know something?
  • How do we engage in a process of deepening knowing, of sense-making?
  • How does your personal practice—whatever it may be—help you know something more intimately, deeply, through the senses?
  • What methods or tools do you use to get to know something?
  • What role do the materials and environments around us play in shaping what we know?

We look forward to exploring and making sense together!
