Discussion with river conservationists and local people who protect the river Hron from unnecessary and harmful losses.
almost 15 years ago, the then Ministry of the Environment presented plans to lose Slovak rivers with almost two hundred new power plants. Twenty of them were supposed to be in Hron, where at that time there were twenty small hydroelectric power plants (HM). Many of them not only defended the migration of fish and aquatic animals, but also harmed to local people, waters and tourists, fishermen and river as such. Gradually, all interested parties joined and began to comment on the plans to build a new MVE in Iliaš, Vlkanová, Jalná, Šášovské Podhradie or Hronské Beňadik.
