Vajnory have a number of beautiful and valuable spaces decorated with ornaments. Many are found in private yards. The ambition of the event is to draw Vajnor residents into active cooperation in the presentation of traditional cultural values. The aim is for Vajnoráci to be inspired and used more ornamental elements in contemporary life.
Vajnor ornament belongs to the most striking style. On embroidery or paintings you will find apples, roses, grapes, clover, leaves, cones or spikelets. From the animal motifs of a bird in various forms, a pelican feeding chicks with their own blood, the motif of the bee. In addition to historical paintings ornaments are applied on the facades of houses, fences but also other buildings. In 2017, the ornament was entered in the representative list of intangible cultural heritage of Slovakia.
