About event

✨ Accept the invitation to an intimate and extraordinary evening of music.

We are waiting for a colorful concert of mandora (lute), baroque violin and baroque flute, which reflects the lightness of the late baroque and early classicism periods (concert with the launch of a new CD)

Unique music from the Austrian monastery in Kremsmünster, offers insight into the world of music of the 18th century. The mandora, the sister instrument of the baroque lute, stands today unfairly in the shadow of its more famous sister. This is because music written for the mandora seems to be compositionally simpler compared to pure baroque music. Music written for the mandora represents a transition from baroque to classicism, as evidenced by the original arrangements of opera arias, e.g. by W.A.Mozart and the mandoro, it was part of the musical world until roughly the first half of the 19th century. This music offers a very varied palette of musical colors, moods and melodies.

Performs: Le nuove musiche
Antonia Ortner - soprano and psaltery
Radka Kubínová - baroque flute
Ferdinand Slezák - baroque violin
Tomáš Kardoš - baroque cello
Jakub Mitrík - mandora - artistic director

The concert will be part of the Vivat Vox Organi 2025 festival

We look forward to meeting you!
