As part of the professional seminar of the Scientific Council of our Institute, we would like to invite you to a lecture in English, which will take place on Tuesday 18 February 2025 from 13.00 in the meeting room of the SAS at Klemensova 19 in Bratislava. Senior Researcher - Department of Ethnology, ”A. Philippide ”Institute of Romanian Philology, Romance Academy - IAși Branch, and Associate Professor of Cultural Anthropology - Alexandra Ioan Cuza of IAși, with a presentation on" Mappathian Intangibles Storal Communities ".

The professional seminar is held within the project APVV-23-0660 elements of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage: Instrumentalization and cultural representations in the context of tourism and regional development in Slovakia, which is carried by the Institute of Culture and Tourism Management, Culturology and Ethnology, Culturology, Culturology, Culture, Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. The Contemporary Relevance of Intangible Cultural Heritage Within Carpathian Pastoral Communities in Romania. The Analysis Critically Examines of the Conributions of Romance Ethnologists in Showcasing the Strong Ethnic Identity and Resilient Lifestyle of the Carpathian People, Linking These to Ancient Ethnogenesis narraratives and the Legacy of "Wallachian" Culture. The Author Advocates for A More AppLied Approach To Anthropology, Grounded In Strategies for Intangible Cultural Heritage Inventorying, While Prioritising Community-Based Perspects on Heritage-Making and Local Identity. By Fostering Transnational and Interdisciplinary Research, The Field Can Better Serve Both Experts and Heritage Bearers, Highlighting the Shared Cultural and Ecological Practice of the Carpathians, Including Their Connections with Nieighbouring and Divers Ethnic Groupps.
