Maraña x Bag of Weasels Quiz Night

Maraña and Bag of Weasels are joining forces for a night of quizzing to raise funds for the Shwaikh family in Gaza

Maraña x Bag of Weasels Quiz Night

Gather your smartest friends and bring them to the third Bag of Weasels Quiz Night, raising funds to support the Shwaikh family in Gaza.

Teams of 5-6 will compete for tickets to a final performance of Maraña's ORGANISMO and afterparty on 12, 13, 19 or 20 September. Runners up receive tickets to the afterparty, featuring a hybrid DJ-set by Andi.Andean. Tanznetz Magazine describes ORGANISMO as "an appeal to the connectedness and power of collectives created through dance, acrobatics, installation – and wool."

Tickets are donation based €10-15 and include an Assila Beer, a Berlin-brewed Arab beer (alcohol-free alternatives are available). Each team member needs their own ticket. You'll be prompted to provide a team name after payment. If your team is not yet organised, don't worry - leave this blank and we'll sort it on the night.

The Cause

We are collaborating with Gaza Champions, a mutual aid organisation that raises funds directly for families affected by the war in Gaza. We’ve been championing the Shwaikh family. Awni, his wife Eman, their triplets Leen, Lian and Kareem, and daughters Rama and Sarah have seen their lives turned upside down by this conflict, with plans to study at university, or Kareem’s Type 1 diabetes treatment thrown into uncertainty. They had hoped to flee Gaza for their saftey, needing at least $5,000 per person to cross the border, but as the war has progressed and that has become impossible, our donations continue to make a huge contribution to covering the daily costs of life during wartime.
